Portable power is used extensively across the world where mains power is difficult to access. Diesel gensets are most commonly used, in a range of sectors from leisure and events to construction and conservation. Used to power lights, sound systems and specialist equipment, and to recharge tools and personal devices, these diesel units are noisy, dirty and don’t smell too good either.
We believe it’s time to replace them with a clean, renewable power source using fuel cell generators. Our near silent units can provide clean power with zero emissions, keeping our air clean and breathable – what’s not to like!
OFF-GRID CLEAN POWER WHERE YOU NEED IT
Introducing PortaWatt®, our unique brand for a family of integrated clean power products and services. By transferring our robust automotive technology to off grid systems, we can fast track development of sustainable, portable units to replace diesel gensets, initially in the 3-20kW range. Step towards Net Zero, away from fossil fuel, with clean air and noise free operations.
Our fuel cell generators run on bottled hydrogen gas which can be obtained from mainstream gas suppliers. Linde (BOC) provide hydrogen in the portable Genie cylinder which is compact enough for easy handling and provides many hours of fuel cell running.
CLEAN, SUSTAINABLE ENERGY GENERATORS
MyGen™ offers upto 2kW continuous power and can provide a reliable source of electricity for recharging, lighting, and powering equipment. The robust, all-weather design is suitable for multiple applications and can integrate other forms of renewable off grid power, such as solar and wind, supported by battery storage packs. Powered using a portable hydrogen cylinder, readily available from suppliers. A proof-of-concept product is underway and will be available for user trials – watch this space!
CLEAN PHONE CHARGING ON THE GO
Fonebox™ is ideal for off-grid events and festivals, providing phone charging on the go. Our concept design for our mobile “fone” hub illustrates a perfect combination of zero emissions power, combining hydrogen fuel cell, solar and battery storage.
